HSERV 110 - Introduction to Caregiving(3) Overview of the caregiving experience. This is an elective course designed for anyone who will become a care worker, particularly those caregivers who will be working in a home under the direct guidance of the client or their representative. This can be the case in families where the elder or disabled family member is ruled as custodial and is determined to remain in his/her home, but requires help managing day to day instrumental care tasks as well as personal oversight and some personal care. Taught in a small group format, each student will participate by self-reflection, group discussion and interaction. This course is not a HSERV degree requirement. It is only being offered on the Whidbey Island campus. None
