Course Description: Introductory study of law, analyzing its origins, development and its role in society. The course surveys legal rights and remedies, courts and court procedures, torts, contracts and criminal law. Critical thinking skills are developed by analyzing and writing summaries of court rulings/opinions. Attending one court proceeding is required. Course required for business majors transferring to four-year schools.
