Course Description: Introduction to the basic computer skills necessary for college success. Topics include: Microsoft Windows operating system, email, searching the Internet, the online learning platform Blackboard, and MS Word.
Prerequisite: None. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No

- To us the PC with confidence and comfort. To use the computer as an informational tool. To use the computer as a communications device. To use the computer as a document-producing device - microsoft word.
Course Contents
- Familiarize student with lab procedures, imput devices (Keyboard) and operating systems. Use the computer to find blackboard, URLs, searches and printing. Send and receive e-mail, copy text and blind copy messages, attach files to e-mails. Using microsoft Word, open and save a new document, learn page setup and margins, enter text using the keyboard and 10-key pad, format a document, save and print a document.
