Course Description: Review and discussion of current issues and special topics regarding school, community, and home relationships affecting education.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of local and national legislative issues affecting education, educational environments, students and their families.
- Participate in pair or group discussions either against or in favor of particular issues.
- Display an awareness of local groups, agencies, and programs which impact education, educational issues and environments at a local, regional and national level.
- Identify articles, publications and other presentations which are relevant to education, families and communities.
- Review information, as above, and present a viewpoint orally or in writing on the material reviewed.
