ECED 223 - Practicum & Seminar

Course Description: Practical application of education coursework in the Birth-3rd Grade classroom setting. Attend a weekly seminar and work with children in a public or private school setting under the direct supervision of a Bachelor’s level staff member or teacher. Experiences will include supporting and assisting in instructional and other services to children, youth and their families.

Prerequisite: Department chair permission.

  1. Implement educational plans designed for specific children, including children with special needs and dual language learners.
  2. Use developmentally appropriate teaching/learning approaches that are individualized to the learner’s interests and abilities..
