Course Description: Interactive hands-on approach to learning different software programs for use in educational technology and its application in today’s classroom. Emphasis is on utilizing TS GOLD to assess and document developmental growth and learning.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Perform computer tasks involving the following five basic areas: File management, word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, and graphics.
- Design presentations of instructional materials that will enhance the curriculum beyond traditional curriculum presentations.
- Formulate instruction to be delivered with the aid of technology.
- Demonstrate basic troubleshooting techniques for a variety of technology machines.
- Evaluate software.
- Examine and evaluate Internet and World Wide Web educational resource sites.
- Utilize the Internet and the World Wide Web for instructional and learning purposes.
- Compile World Wide Web educational resource site addresses for your professional needs.
- Utilize digital pictures and video clips to document a child’s learning.
- Create an online developmental portfolio of a child.
- Generate a report used to demonstrate a child’s learning to their family.
