- Explain how evolution has led to a vast diversity of related organisms.
- Describe evolutionary relationships among and the adaptations that separate taxonomic groups of invertebrate animals.
- Identify common Pacific Northwest invertebrate taxa and the various levels of taxonomic organization to which they belong.
- Apply scientific processes, techniques, and thinking to understanding the natural world.
