1. Identify and describe common Pacific Northwest plant species and families visually, taxonomically, and through keying.
2. Describe the evolutionary relationships, influences, and adaptations that exist within and between plant groups and how they have led to current plant diversity and form.
3. Compare reproductive and dispersal strategies utilized by plants, including pollination and fruit production.
4. Recognize and describe major and minor Pacific Northwest Plant Ecozones and Vegetation zones.
5. Discuss traditional, current, and emerging ethnobotanical uses of plants by different cultures.
6. Predict and communicate impacts on plant species and community diversity and persistence in response to anthropogenic influences including climate change and invasive species.
