Course Description: Continuation of ENVC 211. Finish ecological sampling projects by analyzing, interpreting, and reporting results.
Prerequisite: ENVC 211 with a C or higher. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Store and process sampling data in industry-standard software.
- Describe data with descriptive statistics.
- Visually represent data with graphs.
- Communicate the sampling process, results, and implications to peers and stakeholders.
Course Contents
- All literature used for the course will be researched by the student. The course is a three-step process.
- A proposal is written, which is returned to the student for correction, and the proposal is resubmitted.
- The student performs the field work.
- Data collection, data manipulation and presentation through graphs and tables.
- A final report is written and turned in for review.
- The report is returned to the student for final completion before submission to the instructor.
