Course Description: Capstone research project to be worked on in stages throughout the ENVC program. Conduct scientific research to answer a question relevant to natural resources management including conception and design, data collection and analysis, and reporting of results.
Prerequisite: Admission to BASEC or Department Chair permission. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Apply prior knowledge to the conception and design of a scientific study.
- Identify and carry out the appropriate methods to answer a scientific question.
- Identify and execute appropriate data analysis, including descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Evaluate the implications of the results of the study.
- Justify and support claims and results with existing research by other authors.
- Write a scientific manuscript to report the research process, results, and implications.
- Present the research process, results, and implications to peers and stakeholders.
