ENVC 422 - Culminating Project

Course Description: Capstone research project to be worked on in stages throughout the ENVC program. Conduct scientific research to answer a question relevant to natural resources management including conception and design, data collection and analysis, and reporting of results.

Prerequisite: Admission to BASEC or Department Chair permission.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Apply prior knowledge to the conception and design of a scientific study.
  2. Identify and carry out the appropriate methods to answer a scientific question.
  3. Identify and execute appropriate data analysis, including descriptive and inferential statistics.
  4. Evaluate the implications of the results of the study.
  5. Justify and support claims and results with existing research by other authors.
  6. Write a scientific manuscript to report the research process, results, and implications.
  7. Present the research process, results, and implications to peers and stakeholders.
