Course Description: Continues the foundational knowledge and skills mastered in FIRE 121. Prepares the student for mastery of higher-level tactical skills and knowledge typically associated with truck company operations.
Prerequisite: FIRE 121 with a C or higher. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Effectively carry out complex hose evolutions over extended distances and elevations.
- Create and manage effective fire streams in complex and arduous situations.
- Provide effective fire control measures in defensive and offensive tactical settings.
- Effectively attack interior structural fires as a member of and while leading a team.
- Effectively attack pressurized gas cylinder fires.
- Effectively attack liquid fuel fires.
- PROGRAM OUTCOME: Students will efficiently utilize tactical resources and effective methods of deployment in responding to a variety of emergency incidents.
