Course Description: Develop advanced skills using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro. Learn the basics of the Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst extensions for ArcGIS Pro. Other topics include types of GIS data available and map accuracy standards.

Prerequisite: GIS 101 with a C or higher.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Use advanced editing tools and topology to modify and maintain GIS data.
  2. Apply spatial joins, overlays, and raster analysis to solve spatial problems.
  3. Share geospatial data through web GIS and mobile apps.
  4. Visualize spatial data in 3D and perform space-time analysis in GIS software.
  5. Automate mapping tasks using code in GIS software.
  6. Critically evaluate cartographic techniques and potential misrepresentations.
