HSERV 244 - Group Process and Addictive Disorders

Course Description: Group counseling skills for working with addicted clients in residential and outpatient treatment settings. Includes best practices, emerging practices and other major counseling theories and techniques. Required course for students seeking the Substance Use Disorder Counseling degree (including fast track students).

Prerequisite: HSERV 141 with a C or higher.

  5. Conduct an effective process group based on the skills learned and practiced in this course.
