Course Description: Introduction to a broad range of tools and fastener types and procedures and cultivate safe shop and workplace practices in the marine maintenance industry.

  1. Demonstrate safe and proper hand and power tool use by following manufacturer guidelines and procedures.
  2. Identify, select, and install common fastener types using accepted industry practices and techniques.
  3. Select and apply adhesives and bedding compounds using correct product procedures.
  4. PROGRAM OUTCOME: Exhibit safe & proficient working practices.
