Course Description: Perform music from each of the Baroque, Classic, Romantic and contemporary periods. Students will advance in their understanding of large ensemble playing. Two and one-half hours per week is expected in ensemble practice, three hours of individual practice, and all dress rehearsals and concerts are required. Wind players are by auditions; string players should be adept at position work and fundamental techniques.
