Course Description: Introduction to the Microsoft Office suite of software for PCs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Provides familiarity with the programs; for more training see OBT 122, 132, and 134.
Prerequisite: Strongly Recommended: Basic computer skills and the ability to type by touch are strongly recommended. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Produce basic documents using Microsoft Word.
- Produce basic spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Produce a basic presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Produce and manipulate a basic database using Microsoft Access.
- Manage the storage of electronic files.
- Coordinate time and tasks.
- Perform basic integration tasks using the Microsoft Office programs.
- Identify the purposes and uses for the MS Office programs and determine which programs can be used to accomplish specific tasks.
