Course Description: A study of the fundamental questions of philosophy, including human nature, ethics, justice, political theory, and the nature of knowledge.

- Descartes and the foundations for knowledge.
- Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and its social, political and economic applications to our lived experiences.
- Aristotle on knowledge, concept formation, and ethics.
- Marx and social philosophy.
- Kant’s metaphysics.
- Philosophy of race and gender.
