Course Description: A systematic study of the developmental processes in humans from conception to late adulthood. Special emphasis will be given to the topics of physical development, cognitive development, and personality/social development.
Prerequisite: ENGL& 101 and PSYC& 100 with a C or higher. Distribution Requirements: - Social Sciences Distribution Requirement

- Accurately describe prenatal environmental impacts on brain development and human psychology.
- Identify major physical impacts on human psychology.
- Correctly describe influences on cognitive development from infancy to late adulthood.
- Accurately discuss impacts on social development by observing social complexity as the individual ages.
- Analyze unique attributes and influences within each stage of the life span through comparing different individuals.
- SOCIAL SCIENCES: Apply concepts from the social sciences to analyze individual or social phenomena, processes, events, conflicts, or issues.
