Course Description: Basic Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) theory of operation and safety requirements. Covers SMAW electrode selection based on the AWS electrode classification system and includes an introduction to hands-on welding techniques in the shop setting.
Prerequisite: CSS 103 with a D or higher or concurrent enrollment. General Education Requirements: - Fulfills Think General Education Requirement
