Course Description: Examine the uses of different types of data and evidence and explore collection methods. Investigate frameworks for tackling workplace problems using reliable, valid, and credible data and evidence. Focus on ways in which bias can enter into data collection and analysis, and related decision making, and on mitigating solutions.

Evaluate different types of data and evidence and their appropriate use by examining types, sources and presentation and collection methods in student’s field of interest.
Evaluate the impact of problem solving and decision making by comparing and contrasting opinion-based vs data evidence-based processes in student’s field of interest.
Analyze the impact of bias on managerial problem solving and decision making by critiquing applications in student’s field of interest.
Construct a data-driven strategic plan by applying strategy frameworks.

How work is accomplished and utilize quality metrics and tools to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
Decision-making methods to develop strategies for organizational decision processes.
Data from qualitative and quantitative business intelligence and knowledge management systems to make appropriate decisions.
Quantitative techniques and tools to identify the most appropriate decision alternatives.
Decision-making for equitable and sustainability impacts.
