Course Description: Students work toward knowledge and competencies required to pass GED exams in Math and Science. Instruction offered in Spanish.
Prerequisite: CCB 041 with a C or higher OR CCBS 044 with a C or higher, OR CASAS Math score 221+ OR Accuplacer Arithmetic 237+. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Apply mathematical reasoning and critical thinking skills to real-world scenarios to solve problems using number-sense, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
- Apply reading strategies to analyze and interpret scientific arguments, evidence, and text-based information about subjects related to physical, Earth, and life science.
- Evaluate procedural steps in scientific method and problem solving.
- Demonstrate test-taking skills by successfully passing sections of the GED tests.
