Course Description: Cooperative Education is a work-based learning program that helps students to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical work skills. Students will explore and secure their own work placements, which may be paid or unpaid positions related to their field of study; and work on product ideation and execution for an industry-based project. The student, faculty sponsor, employer and Co-op Ed Coordinator work closely together to ensure a successful learning experience.

Prerequisite: Instructor permission required.
Meets FQE Requirement: No
Elective Requirements: Fulfills Gray Area Electives

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Define learning objectives for work-based learning experiences.
  2. Develop a work-based project idea using data management and analytics concepts.
  3. Execute data management and analytics concepts in a work environment.
