Course Description: Review topics learned in previous courses with an emphasis on critical thinking and integrating the knowledge and skill sets into direct care scenarios. Additional topics include urgent care dentistry, simple/nonsurgical extraction of erupted teeth, characteristics of oral lesions, and managing oral surgery consultations and referrals.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Dental Therapy (DT) coursework from previous quarter.

Manage consultation and referral processes for procedures and conditions that are beyond the dental therapy scope of practice.

Extract an erupted tooth using a simulator.
