Course Description: Interactive cases, critical thinking activities, and case presentations provide practice to further develop diagnostic and treatment planning knowledge and skills. Apply evidence-based practices to customize treatment plans.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Dental Therapy (DT) coursework from previous quarter.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Develop treatment options based on clinical examination and findings from diagnostic tests.
  2. Apply evidence-based research to select tests and procedures to support diagnoses.
  3. Synthesize diagnostic and treatment planning skills through case presentations.
  4. Create phased, comprehensive, customized dental treatment plans based on a patient’s general and dental health, social, and personal circumstances.
