Course Description: Interactive cases, critical thinking activities, and case presentations provide practice to further develop diagnostic and treatment planning knowledge and skills. Apply evidence-based practices to customize treatment plans.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Dental Therapy (DT) coursework from previous quarter. Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Develop treatment options based on clinical examination and findings from diagnostic tests.
- Apply evidence-based research to select tests and procedures to support diagnoses.
- Synthesize diagnostic and treatment planning skills through case presentations.
- Create phased, comprehensive, customized dental treatment plans based on a patient’s general and dental health, social, and personal circumstances.
