Course Description: This course builds on topics from Math 97. Topics include: an introduction to polynomials and factoring; quadratic, rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions and equations; complex numbers; composite and inverse functions; distance formula and circles.

Prerequisite: CCB 87 or ODHS 87 or MATH 97 with a grade of C or higher, or appropriate math placement score.

  4. Quadratic Equations and Functions. Solve quadratic equations by completing the square. Solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. Solve applications of quadratic equations. Graph quadratic functions using transformations.
