Course Description: First in a series of three courses in which students improve critical thinking, reading, writing, oral communication, and math skills to prepare for entry into high school completion and/or transition to college or employment.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Improve writing competencies appropriate for transition into HS21+, I-BEST or college coursework.
- Apply reading strategies and routines to understand and analyze a variety of texts.
- Improved academic confidence through development of critical thinking; communication skills; self-knowledge; and ability to set goals and priorities.
- Use technology to communicate, research information, format documents, and present ideas.
- Perform math operations and solve problems using algebra, geometry and statistics toward reaching the level of competency needed for transition to WMATH100, MATH 97 or the equivalent.
