Course Description: Develop the essential knowledge and skills needed to create effective and inclusive instructional plans tailored to the content areas of Science, Social Studies, Art and Health/Physical Education. Includes the ability to design developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with learning standards in each of these content areas and consider individual learners’ strengths, interests, and needs.

Describe how the common core, Next Generation Science Standards, Social Studies Learning Standards, Art Standards (including the five disciplines: dance, media arts, music, theater, and visual arts), Health and Physical Education Standards are used for instructional planning.
Utilize Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles for instructional planning.
Plan a diverse set of learning activities that align with a specific standard and would prepare a diverse group of learners to meet the standard.
Create developmentally appropriate unit plans aligned with learning standards that considers individual learners’ strengths, interests, and needs.

Course Contents
