Course Description: ESOL Level 2-2 (Beginning ELA) students improve English listening, speaking, reading, and writing and comprehension with a goal to develop college and career readiness skills. Prepares students for transition to ESOL 23.
Prerequisite: Receive a P grade in ESOL 21 (or placement into ESOL 22 or equivalent). Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No

- Distinguish between Wh- questions and Yes/No questions.
- Compose simple sentences in response to prompts with guidance and support.
- Describe people, places, things, or ideas, including relevant details.
- Produce voiced/unvoiced, vowel, consonant, and digraph sounds.
- Use the Present Simple tense.
- Use the Future Simple tense.
- Differentiate between count and non-count nouns, including quantifiers.
