Course Description: ESOL Level 3-1 (Low Intermediate ELA) students improve English listening, speaking, reading, and writing and comprehension with a goal to develop college and career readiness skills. Prepares students for transition to ESOL 32.
Prerequisite: Receive a P grade in ESOL 23 or ELA 12 (or placement into ESOL 31 or equivalent). Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No

- Identify parts and structure of sentences.
- Identify frequently occurring linking words.
- Recognize different letter sounds and pronunciation of various letter combinations.
