Course Description: ESOL Level 3-3 (Low Intermediate ELA) students improve English listening, speaking, reading, and writing and comprehension with a goal to develop college and career readiness skills. Prepares students for transition to ESOL 41.

Prerequisite: Receive a P grade in ESOL 32 (or placement into ESOL 33 or equivalent).

  1. Formulate Wh- questions to clarify understanding or extract information from text.
  2. Organize parts of a sentence to communicate clearly.
  3. Write three or more linked sentences in response to a prompt and feedback.
  4. Decode letter sounds and pronunciation of various letter combinations.
  5. Differentiate between past, present, and future in the simple and continuous/progressive tenses.
  6. Use modal verbs in response to prompts.
  7. Differentiate between possessive nouns, possessive pronouns, and possessive adjectives.
  8. Interpret information in bills, receipts, checks, paystubs, charts, or graphs. - completed.
