Course Description: This course explores the historical and cultural context of current world problems.
Prerequisite: HSC 018 or ELA 018 with a C or higher (or concurrent enrollment). Meets FQE Requirement: No Integrative Experience Requirement: No
Student Learning Outcomes
- Evaluate how individuals and movements have shaped contemporary world issues.
- Evaluate relationships between key ideals and historical and current realities.
- Examine systems that have disadvantaged marginalized or traditionally underserved populations.
- Use credible, relevant resources to explore the origin and context of current world issues.

- Topics include, but are not limited to current global issues and their cultural, political, and/or geographic antecedents and effects.
