Course Description: Performance of choral music in various styles and genres, including non-European traditions, in an advanced academic setting.

Prerequisite: Grade of 2.0 or higher in ENGL 097, or EAP 098, or appropriate test score. Instructor’s permission required; placement by audition only.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Sing the notes of several compositions, with and without accompaniment, in performance.
  2. Demonstrate improvement in music reading ability through practice, performance, and individual and group assessment.
  3. Demonstrate increased independence and leadership in singing part music through individual/group practice and assessments supported by teacher observation.
  4. Perform advanced choral literature.
