Course Description: Develop skills necessary to navigate SVC and to find a viable career pathway. Topics include locating campus resources, creating an academic plan of classes, planning for financing college costs, as well as personality types, Interests and values as they relate to choosing a career pathway.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will be able to identify and access Skagit Valley College student support resources and reflect on which ones best support their academic and personal goals.
- Students will be able to develop a personal financial plan that outlines how they will fund and manage expenses related to their college education.
- Students will be able to locate and interpret their program requirements and individual education plan, explaining the purpose, importance, and connection to their academic pathway.
- Students will create a preliminary career plan that identifies short-term academic goals and long-term career objectives and maps the sequential steps necessary to prepare for their intended career.
- Students will evaluate how Skagit Valley College general education learning outcomes will support their personal, academic, and career goals.
- Students will be able to explain the importance of ethical use of information.
