Welcome to Skagit Valley College!

The following description explains how to access program, course, and other information.

In the online catalog, use the navigation menu to your left to explore areas of study, degrees and certificates, read detailed course descriptions and outcomes, review college policies and resources, and learn what support services are available to you.

Programs by Area of Study or Degree Certificate Type

Programs are listed alphabetically by area of study. Under each area, you will find the titles of programs, a Go To Information link and each degree or certificate options. You can learn more about the program or department by clicking on the Go To Information links, or you can directly access degree and certifcate information by click on the corresponding links.

You can also view program information listed by degree and certifcate type. Click on the Degree and Certificate link to access the complete list.

The icon at the top of the program page that looks like a piece of paper opens a degree planning sheet that is easy to print. The degree planning sheet will help you determine what courses to take and when, so you can complete your degree and/or certificate.

Course Descriptions 

Courses are listed alphabetically by course type (course types are very similar to the program titles). If you know the course title or prefix for a particular course, you can use the filters at the top of the page to find it.

When you select a course, you will be able to see the course title, number of credits, course description, prerequisites or corequisites, the quarters the course is offered, and the student learning outcomes for the course. Outcomes are what you will learn to do by the end of the course.
