Students wishing to enter the Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program will need to complete the prerequisite courses listed below with a “C” grade or better and be placed on a waiting list. Based on the date of their completed application, students will be admitted to the program each Fall quarter on a first-come, first-served basis. A certificate is awarded to students who complete the following program core courses with a minimum 2.0 grade in each course. CMST& 210 - Interpersonal Communication: D (5)
ENGL& 101 - English Composition I (5)
OBT 162 - Microsoft Office Basics (3)
MATH 096 - Pre-Algebra (5) or higher with a grade of C or better, or a placement score into MATH 097 .
