A continuation of CHEM& 242. For students majoring in chemistry or biology, or pursuing graduate degrees in medicine or pharmacy. Preparation and reactions of aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, and amines, alpha carbon chemistry, and synthetic polymers. Prerequisite: CHEM& 242 with a C or better. Co-enrolled in English 101 or completion of English 101 with a C or better.
