NURS 297 - Nursing Adult/Child Practicum V (lecture 2)(0.5) Focuses on factors impacting entry into practice. Examine challenges faced in today’s workplace and how to prepare for them. Power, leadership, communication and collaboration are viewed as key factors in helping the nurse be effective in the healthcare environment. Analyzes the safety and well-being of the patient and the nurse. The concepts of context and environment, knowledge and science, personal and professional development, quality and safety, relationship centered care and teamwork are integrated throughout. (Section two of a two-part course.) Prerequisite: NURS 294, 295 with a minimum C grade (2.0) in each. Concurrent enrollment in PHIL 297.
