AHE 105 - Electronic Medical Documents and Administrative Procedures Credits: (6) Learn about Electronic Medical Records (EMR), bookkeeping and basic accounting in todays medical office. Covers appointment scheduling, telephone practices, processing mail, downloading/uploading electronic medical records information, inventory, office insurance, ordering and maintenance of office equipment and supplies; banking, payroll, credit and collection; organizing a procedure manual, time-management techniques, and cultural differences concerning perception of time and expectation.
Prerequisite: AHE 101 with a “C” or higher or concurrent enrollment.
