CMST& 210 - Interpersonal Communication: E

Interpersonal Communication is defined as communication between two or more communicators, characterized by a closer and more personal nature. As such, this is an exploratory course designed to give the student space to reflect on communication practices to prepare for a lifetime of successful equitable interpersonal relationships (familial, romantic, friendship, professional, etc.). These skills and knowledges will prepare students to build capacity to communicate equitably and ethically. In this course, particular focus will be placed on equitable communication across race, culture, and other social categorizations and constructs of human difference.

Prerequisite: ENGL 097 OR EAP 097 with a grade of C or higher; OR appropriate test score; OR placement into EAP 98; OR placement into EAP 103.
